Congratulations to Founding Partner Michael J. McAuliffe, Newly Appointed Judge to the Circuit Court for Montgomery County

It is with great affection and pride that Ethridge Quinn announces that founding partner, Michael J. McAuliffe, was appointed by Governor Hogan as a Judge on the bench of the Circuit Court of Montgomery County.

Jack Quinn and Judge McAuliffe founded Quinn & McAuliffe in 1987.  Since its inception, Judge McAuliffe and Jack Quinn grew the firm to Ethridge, Quinn, Kemp, McAuliffe, Rowan & Hartinger, with locations in Rockville and Frederick.  In Spring of 2018, based on his decades-long successful litigation practice, Judge McAuliffe joined Jack Quinn, Paul Kemp, Paul Ethridge, and Mike Rowan as a member of the prestigious American College of Trial Lawyers, the highest honor available to a trial lawyer.

Judge McAuliffe underwent the rigorous vetting process and was nominated by Maryland’s Judicial Nominating Commission to fill a judicial vacancy. In December of 2019, it was announced that Governor Hogan appointed Judge McAuliffe and on January 3, 2020, he was sworn into the bench of the Circuit Court of Montgomery County. Ethridge Quinn couldn’t be happier for our former partner having achieved his life long dream and we congratulate him for this triumph. The firm’s loss is the community’s gain.

As a result of Judge McAuliffe joining the bench, the firm’s name has been officially changed to Ethridge, Quinn, Kemp, Rowan & Hartinger.
